Barber Osgerby

Barber Osgerby | After completing their Masters in Architecture at the Royal College of Art, Jay Osgerby and Edward Barber, founded BarberOsgerby in 1996. They then went on to set up Universal Design Studio Ltd in 2001.

They have worked for a diverse range of international clients including Cappellini, Magis, Flos, ClassiCon, Venini, Isokon Plus, Coca Cola, Swarovski, Levi’s and Stella McCartney. They have also been given several commissions including the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill--on-Sea, Portsmouth Cathedral and the Royal Institute of British Architects, London.

Their work is on display in the permanent exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, as well as exhibiting at Sotheby’s, London, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, International Furniture Fair, New York, Haute Definition, Paris, Design Museum. Their awards include Best New Designer ICFF NY 1998, Jerwood Prize for Applied Arts 2004, Winner of Furniture Designer of the Year Blueprint Magazine 2005, Best Furniture Design, Design Week Awards 2003 & 2004, Best Product Red Dot Awards 2006, Designer of the Future (with Established and Sons) Basel 2006, Designer of the Year 2007.
