Gayna was particularly impressed with the pupils' dedication in the Park despite the weather, plus their enthusiasm in using new materials for art in the class. Whilst the group includes a number of children with learning difficulties, the pupils all went beyond the expectations set. Their teacher was very impressed with both the quality of the work and their knowledge retained from their park visit.
A hurricane in 1987 left Bushy with its famous "Crocodile Log". It was Charles I who commissioned the spectacular Arethusa Fountain in the middle of Bushy's mile-long Chestnut Avenue.
Bushy is home to some of Europe's finest swamp cypress trees – with their aerial roots, which poke up like knobbly knees above ground and provide stability.
