DABD (uk) is an independent voluntary organisation that was established in the late 1950s. The organisation works with and supports excluded people across London to encourage and promote independent living.
Eight 11-24 year olds joined the Deckchair Dreams artist for a visit to Greenwich Park which involved a friendly meeting with a few local deer! The visit was spent looking at and drawing seeds and the sweet chestnut trees. Initially a couple of students were reluctant to draw; however once they were encouraged it was hard to stop them. Back at the community hall, where they meet every Wednesday, the group used polystyrene as a printing tool for their deckchair canvases.
Did you know? There are six different species of grasshoppers and crickets recorded in Greenwich Park - including the Oak Bush Cricket, which lives in Oak trees.
