In 2010, we have invited five school groups in the UK and three groups in China to take part in Deckchair Dreams. They will visit their local Royal Park or the Shanghai Botanical Garden between June and August. Accompanied by our professional artist Gayna Pelham, plus our education team and volunteers, they will look at plants and trees and explore the similarities and differences between UK and Chinese parks and culture. The artist will help the pupils create their very own deckchair designs which will then be judged in a competition to be made into deckchairs and exhibited in the Parks.

We aim to link some of the schools over the time of the project via the internet so that the young people can learn about each other's lives.
