The students worked closely with our specialist art teacher, Gayna Pelham, to study art and nature in the Parks. They learned about the ecology and wildlife of different trees and plants, and studied the many textures, shapes and colours found everywhere in nature. The pupils were encouraged to express themselves through a variety of techniques, such as charcoal sketching and bark rubbing with oil pastels.
Our judging panel then had the tough task of choosing a winner from each school to be part of the collection. Here are the final designs that were chosen:
